Our role

• Promote the educational achievement of children looked after by the council.
• Ensure effective use of pupil premium plus to promote education progress.
• Provide advice, guidance and training to professionals/carers involved with looked after/previously looked after children.

We work with looked after children and young people aged 2 to post 16 and their educational settings.

We are part of the local authority.

We work with a range of professionals to secure the best outcomes for looked after children.

We also have a responsibility to previously looked after children.

We can offer educational support and guidance to:

• teachers;
• carers;
• parents; and
• guardians of previously looked-after children.
