Multiply

What is Multiply?

Multiply is a government-funded programme to enhance the general numeracy skills of adults so they can understand and use maths in their daily lives including finances, budgeting, time and money management and lots more.

Good numeracy skills may unlock job opportunities and lead to higher wages or prepare you for further study. They also help in everyday life, such as helping children with homework, budgeting money telling the time and travelling from A to B.

The Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) project is led by Hartlepool Borough Council but delivered by all five TVCA local authorities.

Entry requirements

  • Adults must be aged 19+
  • Reside in Darlington or the Tees Valley area
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK

I'm a voluntary or community organisation and would love to get involved...

We are delighted to launch our funding opportunity for Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations in Darlington to support delivery of the Multiply Programme. Our aim is to work in partnership with voluntary and charitable organisations and community groups to improve peoples ability to understand and use maths.

VCSE organisations need to apply to take part. If successful, courses offered through Multiply can result in your organisation receiving £120 per adult. The more adults who complete activities, the more money you will receive. It really is that simple!

Organisations can opt to use Multiply course created by us here at Learning & Skills Darlington or they can create their own courses as long as it hits the specification delivery (below).

If you are an organisation wanting to take part in Multiply please complete the application form by 5pm on Monday 22 May 2023.
