Bid for a mental health bear!
Bidding is now open in the online auction of Darlington's Mental Health bears! Bid and win some great original art whilst supporting mental health in the town.
The 17 colourful bears were first installed as a trail around the town centre to mark Mental Health Awareness Week in May. They were designed and painted by well known local artists and groups to reflect positive aspects of mental health and wellbeing. Each bear is a work of art with an inspirational story about mental health often very personal to the artist. Themes of hope, strength, acceptance and social connection are amongst the powerful messages represented.
Winning bidders will not only get to own spectacular artwork but will be supporting valuable mental health services in the town and surrounding communities.
The auction will culminate with a meet the aritsts event at the Creative Space Arts Market, on Sunday 18 August 5-7pm in the Market Square.
