Desk lamp in the shape of a mouse that is holding the lamp holder with a black power supply cord and plug.

Hazard
The product has been recalled as it presents a high risk due to having a lack of protection from electric shock. When tested, it was identified that the basic insulated cable can be touched with a finger. A distance of 2.6 mm was measured between the lamp cap and the test finger, this is below the minimum required values of 3 mm for clearance and 5 mm for creepage. The product did not meet the requirements of the insulation resistance test between live parts and foil over the lamp holder with the lamp in position. The lamp holder used is only rated at 125 V, the product maximum voltage rating is 240 V and some of the required documentation and markings were not present.
The product does not comply with the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Corrective action
Recall of the product from end users. The Etsy seller has contacted customers directly. The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Etsy).
