Hazard
The product presents a high risk of electric shock as the internal construction was such that wires can detach to reduce creepage and clearance levels, causing high voltages at the output. The internal insulation was also insufficient and the plug pins were of an incorrect size.
The product also requires improvements to marking, labelling and documentation.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
