Product description
Truck mounted road sweeper.
Affected models
All V range models manufactured between December 2014 and December 2020. Serial numbers 6699 - 11420.
Hazard
The design of the discharge door opening mechanism presents a risk of serious injury because failure of the single pin used to secure the mechanism to the machine body will result in the discharge door closing in a rapid and uncontrolled manner. This does not meet the requirements of The Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
Corrective action
The manufacturer has provided revisions of information to customers, provided information on safe systems of working and created additional measures that can be retrofitted to the machine to reduce the risk.
Users should contact the manufacturer (Bucher Municipal Ltd) to obtain relevant technical bulletins and additional parts.
