Hazard
The product presents a high risk of fire as the plug pins are shorter and wider than required, and therefore do not make proper contact with the connections, damaging the socket over time. This could cause the plug pins and the plug to overheat and ignite. Improvements are also required to marking, labelling and documentation.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
