Product description
Blender set includes clear containers and black blade bases.
Affected products
Certain Vitamix® Ascent® and Venturist® Series blenders. The clear containers and black blade bases are included with certain Vitamix Ascent Model blenders such as the Ascent A2300i and Ascent A3500i blenders and also sold separately, as sets, or in bundles.
Hazard
This product presents a risk of injuries as the container may separate from the blade base, exposing the blades to the consumer and posing a laceration hazard.
This product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
Corrective action
The product has been recalled from end users.
Consumers should immediately stop using the 225 ml and 600 ml blending containers and blade bases. Consumers are asked to install the protective plastic shroud, as well as the additional instruction labels as provided by the manufacturer.
