Product description
A black three-pin travel converter for European 2 pin plugs to a UK 3 pin plug with a hinged lid secured with a screw and external fuse access. The plug uses 12 Amps to convert a non-earthed Euro plug to UK three prong plug
Hazard
The adapter presents a risk of fire as it has been identified that some plugs have been incorrectly fitted with a 13-amp converter, instead of a 3-amp converter.
Should a consumer use the adapter to connect a non-UK plug it may overheat, leading to a fire.
The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005 or the Plugs and Sockets etc (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The product has been recalled from end users.
