Product description
A white rechargeable portable lamp with three colour modes
Hazard
The product presents a risk of fire as a fault with the overcharge protection mechanism on the battery has been identified. In certain instances, this fault may cause the product to overheat while charging, potentially leading to a fire.
The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
Corrective action
Consumers in possession of an affected lamp should unplug it immediately, cease use and dispose of the lamp safely.
The affected batch has been withdrawn from the market and recalled from end users. Block Blue Light Limited have warned consumers of the risks via email communications that were sent to all consumers who purchased the product between 14/12/2023 and 21/11/2024.
The lamp contains a small, integrated lithium-ion battery which should not be disposed of in normal household waste. For further information on household waste, including on local sites accepting lithium-ion batteries for safe disposal, can be found on the GOV.UK website.
