Product description
Traxxas Nitro and electric radio-controlled (RC) vehicles slipper or brake pads. Metal parts in rebuild kits or sets approximately 15 mm by 2 mm by 10 mm.

Hazard
The slipper or brake pads sold as parts or sold installed in the affected radio-controlled vehicles contain chrysotile asbestos. Asbestos fibres may be released from the slipper pad in the vehicle through friction, and users may be exposed to asbestos fibres if the vehicle is disassembled for repair or maintenance. If asbestos fibres are released into the air and breathed in, they can cause serious medical conditions, including asbestosis, lung cancer and mesothelioma.

The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.

Corrective action
Consumers should not attempt to remove or replace the slipper or brake pads or disassemble the slipper assembly in affected vehicles. Consumers should stop using affected nitro powered (non-electric) vehicles immediately.
