Hazard
The product presents a high risk of fire as the plug pins are too wide and do not properly fit into the socket, which could lead to damage of the socket. Over time the pins may become worn down and/or there may be damage to the connectors on the socket, causing it to overheat and the plug catching fire. Improvements are also required to marking, labelling and documentation.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
